Warren D. Cooper, MB, BS, BSc, MFPM
President and Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Cooper is a UK-trained physician with over 25 years in the global pharmaceutical industry. With a background in cardiology and cardiac surgery, he spent 12 years with Merck, initially as a UK clinical research physician, then as head of European and Worldwide Clinical Research Operations for Merck Research Laboratories across all therapeutic areas. Moving to AstraMerck (now AstraZeneca PLC), he led that company’s cardiovascular business division, a role with full business lifecycle leadership from in-licensing through development to P&L responsibility for sales and marketing. Warren then founded a healthcare consulting practice, Coalescence Inc., which he led for 5 years prior to joining Prism. Warren is a member of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom, is a member of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Physicians and the American and International Societies of Hypertension, and serves on the Board of Directors for Nutrition 21.
Daniel J. Cushing, PhD, FCP
Vice President, Drug Development and Regulatory Affairs and Chief Scientific Officer
Dr. Cushing has over 15 years of pharmaceutical industry experience, including discovery research, drug development, medical affairs, and regulatory affairs. Over his career, he has led the strategy, preparation, and management of several successful INDs and NDAs and launched multiple cardiovascular brands that still enjoy success in the market. Prior to joining Prism he worked at Pfizer, Merck, and AstraMerck (now AstraZeneca PLC), where he held senior positions in medical and regulatory affairs. Most recently, Dan leveraged his pharmaceutical experience and built a successful consulting firm (Scientific Commercialization LLC) and continued to serve the pharmaceutical and medical device industries. Dan holds a PhD in pharmacology and is a Fellow of the American College of Clinical Pharmacology.
Kathleen DeLawrence
Vice President, Commercial Operations and Chief Operating Officer
Ms. DeLawrence brings over 15 years of pharmaceutical industry experience that includes general management, product launch management, marketing and sales operations management, and merger integration. Most recently she was VP and General Manager for a medical communications agency where she assumed operational responsibility for this business when it was privately held and was directly responsible for leading it through two consecutive acquisitions by publicly-held firms. Kathleen spent the prior 8 years at AstraMerck (now AstraZeneca PLC) in Commercial Operations, acquiring increased responsibility in roles including product launch management, commercial operations director, and leading merger integration for marketing and sales during the Astra and Zeneca merger. Kathleen has enjoyed a successful career over 20 years working for several of the top Fortune 500 companies: CardinalHealth, AstraZeneca, Price Waterhouse, and General Electric. Her cross-industry experiences include a range of management consulting and corporate assignments where her skills were applied in information systems integration, business process reengineering, organizational design, and change management.
Stanley J. Musial, CPA, MBA
Vice President, Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Musial most recently held the position of VP, Finance and CFO for Strategic Diagnostics, Inc., a publicly-held (SDIX) agricultural biotechnology company. Prior to joining SDIX, Stan was Senior VP, Finance and CFO for Continuum Healthcare, Inc., a privately-held, venture capital-backed specialty healthcare company. He previously held senior financial management positions with Orthovita, Inc., a publicly-held (VITA) orthopedic biotechnology company; Occupational Health Resources, Inc., a venture capital-backed physician practice management company; Surgical Laser Technologies, Inc., a publicly-held (SLTI) laser surgery company; and Environmental Control Group, Inc., a publicly-held (ECGI) environmental services company. He began his career with KPMG LLP. Stan holds an MBA in finance from Temple University and a BS degree in accounting from Pennsylvania State University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
